The WPNSA is a purpose built sailing venue, built for the 2012 London Olympics on the Isle of Portland, Dorset, on England's South coast. It has some of the best sailing water in the World, set against the beautiful backdrop of a unique natural World Heritage Site of the 'Jurassic Coast' and is sheltered from the Atlantic swell by the magnificent 18 mile long Chesil Beach, the longest shingle bank in the World.

With the options of Portland Harbour and Weymouth Bay, it offers sheltered water, clean winds and light tides, it is the premier UK venue of choice for many sailing competitions, GBR Olympic squad training and is host for record breaking speed sailing events.

Inside Facilities include:
  • Reception open daily

  • Full disabled access including lifts

  • First Aid Room

  • Extensive changing facilities with toilets, showers/changing rooms and a drying room

  • WPNSA Cafeteria opens every day serving hot and cold snacks and drinks

  • Boardroom with sea views up to 12 people

  • Spinnakers function room with a fully-licensed bar and catering facilities, with a capacity of up to 150 people.  There is also a substantial balcony giving great views of all the activity on site and overlooking Portland Harbour and the Jurassic coast

  • Event hall with a licensed bar and catering facilities and a capacity of up to 350 people.

Outside Facilities Include:

  • 2 dinghy slipways (220m width in total) accessible at all states of the tide

  • 260 dinghy park spaces with fixed tie down points

  • Overnight parking for campervans/caravans (with hook up points to electricity) available for those using the WPNSA facilities during events

  • Electronically-controlled access gates and extensive CCTV system in operation

  • Parking for up to 700 cars

  • Trailer and container space adjacent to the dinghy park
